Third in a series of reflection pieces featuring daughter Lauren by the trusty pond in Lake Bluff, IL. Acrylic and pencil on masonite board. 4'x2'. $2500.
I wanted to do a landscape with a difference; I wanted to use the drama of the Pennine hills and let the viewer feel the incline of the hillside, almost as if you would fall over if you didn't take care. The traffic cones were added as a sense of direction but also disorientation to the viewer. It takes me back to my cross-country days when you followed marked courses across the fields.
A commission for the Grube family of Lake Forest. The fishing pole motif and planets were suggested by the kids so I weaved them in. 4' x 2' acrylic on masonite.
A portrait completed about 9 years ago and recently rescued from the basement (hence all the strange stuff sticking to it!), I liked the look of it so I left it alone. Note Meghan holding said Hamster. 60"x30" NFS
This painting returned from the dead. It was one of the paintings that apparently got lost in a gallery collapse in downtown Lake Bluff. After believing it destroyed, I was pleased to see it resurface in a long forgotten box of rescued items. So here it is. Acrylic on canvas, 16"x20" $750
