Third in a series of reflection pieces featuring daughter Lauren by the trusty pond in Lake Bluff, IL. Acrylic and pencil on masonite board. 4'x2'. $2500.
I wanted to do a landscape with a difference; I wanted to use the drama of the Pennine hills and let the viewer feel the incline of the hillside, almost as if you would fall over if you didn't take care. The traffic cones were added as a sense of direction but also disorientation to the viewer. It takes me back to my cross-country days when you followed marked courses across the fields.
